How We Help
The Pets In Need Vet Clinic exclusively serves the pets of eligible elderly, disabled, and low-income Rhode Islanders. Pet owners that are receiving assistance from a valid federal or state program listed below will qualify. Animals will be seen by appointment only and owners will need to bring documentation of qualification.
In order to qualify for support from the PIN Clinic, you must meet the following criteria:
1. Be on one (or more) of the following forms of assistance:
- Disabled Veterans
- SSI or SSDI
- State Disability*
- Food Stamps (SNAP)
- Housing Assistance
- Heating Assistance
- Family Independence Program/Welfare
2. Be a Rhode Island resident
Unfortunately, pets whose owners cannot provide documentation of assistance will not be eligible for services. *Temporary disability and unemployment do not qualify.
